Laundry can often feel like a burdensome chore, especially when clothes pile up, leaving you searching for outfits. Recently, I tackled this issue by developing an automated laundry tracking app using a local coding AI for VS Code. This innovative project utilizes NFC tags to easily track the location and status of each garment in my wardrobe. Whenever I move clothes, I simply tap their tags against designated readers, updating my local database effortlessly.
The app also integrates a local AI to suggest outfits based on my mood and available clothes, significantly reducing decision fatigue. It’s a straightforward, cost-effective solution—no cloud subscriptions or smart appliances needed. Future expansions may include weather integration, multi-user support, and enhanced outfit generation.
By automating laundry tracking, I’ve transformed a tedious task into a streamlined process, showcasing how AI can resolve everyday challenges with simple technology. This approach prioritizes efficiency without compromising on functionality.
