T3AI, Turkey’s first large language model (LLM), was launched in beta by the Turkish Technology Team (T3) Foundation and defense leader Baykar on the Teknofest social platform. Users can interact with T3AI by tagging it in posts, and while it primarily operates in Turkish, it can respond in multiple languages. This open-source model emphasizes ethical AI development and aims to enhance AI awareness across society, integrating it into digital services and fostering a skilled workforce. The project saw contributions from 1,792 volunteers across 67 provinces and partnered with notable organizations including the Turkish Ministry of National Education and Microsoft. After collecting user feedback, T3AI expressed gratitude in its farewell post, promising to return stronger.
