Ledger has launched its AI Security Roadmap 2026, emphasizing user protection in AI-driven transactions. This initiative is highlighted by the appointment of Ian Rogers as the industry’s first Chief Human Agency Officer, aiming to safeguard user control over assets in an era of autonomous AI agents. The core principle of the strategy is “Agents propose — humans sign,” ensuring transactions require physical confirmation on a Ledger device, keeping private keys secure.

Key components include the Device Management Kit (DMK) for developers, enabling hardware confirmation for agent transactions. Upcoming features will tie agents to hardware, enhancing security against forgery, while enforcing spending policies at the hardware level. Additionally, a “Proof of Human” mechanism will combat bot activities and multi-accounting without exposing personal data.

Ledger’s roadmap addresses the growing risks associated with AI, following incidents like the $9.5 million cryptocurrency theft through a phishing app. Stay updated with Ledger’s advancements in digital asset security.
