The Barr family recently upgraded their living room with a new couch, prompting the need to sell their old one. After posting in a local email group, a potential buyer inquired about the couch’s model. Unfortunately, the product codes had faded over time. To find the model, photos were uploaded to Gemini, Google’s chatbot. It quickly identified the couch as the “Tillary Sectional,” a popular West Elm sofa from around 2013, known for its interchangeable backrests and modular design. Gemini provided additional tips for identification, including checking for zippered compartments and tags hiding extra components. This information enabled the Barr family to close the sale for $200, equating to a 10-month subscription for Gemini Pro.
