Levi's to Launch 'Super-Agent' as Part of Enterprise-Wide AI Push

Levi Strauss & Co. is embarking on a digital transformation by developing an agentic AI “super-agent” in partnership with Microsoft. This initiative aims to position Levi’s as a direct-to-consumer-first retailer. Leveraging Microsoft’s Teams and Azure platforms, the AI super-agent will streamline operations by acting as a middleman to specialized sub-agents, thereby enhancing efficiency across IT, HR, and more. Currently in testing, Levi’s plans to roll out this system in early 2026 to global offices. The company is modernizing its infrastructure by transitioning workloads to a cloud-based private data center and implementing intelligent automation for enhanced security and operational efficiency. CEO Michelle Gass highlights the potential of AI to transform their business processes and improve insights. Jason Gowans, the chief digital and technology officer, emphasizes AI’s role in creating personalized experiences and automated workflows, ultimately facilitating a more responsive and efficient organization. This strategic move showcases Levi’s commitment to innovation and customer engagement.
