Lumia Security Inc., an AI security and governance platform startup, has raised $18 million in funding to bolster engineering, research, and market outreach. Founded in 2024 by Omri Iluz and Bobi Gilburd, Lumia aims to help enterprises implement AI securely, especially autonomous agents, within their workflows. Its platform provides in-depth visibility and control, monitoring AI activities at the network layer rather than individual devices, making it scalable for large-scale environments. With a robust “Protocol Analysis Engine,” Lumia assesses AI interactions for risk management, enabling organizations to leverage AI for innovation while maintaining compliance, crucial for sensitive sectors like finance. Co-founder Iluz emphasized the need for seamless controls to harness AI’s productivity benefits without exposing businesses to undue risks. The funding round was led by Team8 Capital, with Admiral Michael Rogers joining the advisory board to offer insights on AI governance.
