Maharashtra’s Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, launched ‘Shiksha Saathi’ at the global AI Summit 2026, aiming to empower Anganwadi educators with a groundbreaking multilingual WhatsApp-based AI assistant. Developed by Rocket Learning in partnership with OpenAI, this tool provides tailored guidance on developmental milestones and early learning strategies aligned with the national curriculum. By enhancing professional capacities, ‘Shiksha Saathi’ supports over 400,000 Anganwadi educators across Maharashtra, addressing everyday challenges in early childhood care and education (ECCE). The initiative facilitates real-time, accessible responses to queries about fostering positive learning environments for children under six. This launch marks a significant milestone as Maharashtra becomes the first state to implement an AI-enabled educational tool at scale, with the ultimate goal of ensuring universal school readiness by 2030. Rocket Learning aims to impact 50 million underserved children, emphasizing the role of AI as a transformative force in education.
