Manolin, an aquaculture data-intelligence company, has unveiled significant updates to its Watershed platform, introducing two prescriptive tools for salmon farms: the Harvest Forecaster and Sea Lice Treatment Recommender. These innovations leverage Manolin’s advanced modelling engine and 19 new models, providing crucial insights into growth, quality, mortality, and pricing. The tools deliver precise forecasts at both cage and population levels, offering actionable data for immediate farm management decisions. Each forecast covers up to 90 days, featuring upper, lower, and average biomass predictions, aiding teams in choosing whether to harvest or wait. Additionally, the Sea Lice Treatment Recommender establishes farm-specific normal ranges, issuing alerts for necessary interventions. With accuracy rates between 85-97%, these models rely on extensive farm data, including over 265 million smolts from 2,400 cages. As Manolin continues to refine its models and integrate various data signals, customers can access these state-of-the-art forecasting tools on the Watershed platform.
