After Koo’s shutdown, Mayank Bidawatka launches AI-driven photo app ‘PicSee’ for effortless, private sharing

Mayank Bidawatka, co-founder of the shuttered social media platform Koo, has launched an innovative AI-driven photo-sharing app called PicSee. Developed by Billion Hearts Software Technologies and backed by investors like Blume Ventures and General Catalyst, PicSee is touted as the first mutual photo-sharing app that enhances the photo exchange experience between friends. Addressing the issue of countless unused personal photos on devices, PicSee introduces a patent-pending “give to get” model. Users automatically receive pictures of themselves but only after consenting to share their own. With AI-based facial recognition, the app streamlines sharing without manual uploads, ensuring privacy and consent through a 24-hour review window for each image. Soft-launched in July 2025, PicSee has seen rapid organic growth, gaining users across 27 countries and facilitating the exchange of over 150,000 photos. The app aims to offer privacy-safe, globally scalable solutions in consumer AI, focusing on enhancing the digital photo experience.
