Meta is transitioning to an “AI-first” culture by expanding employees’ access to competitive AI tools like Google’s Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT-5. According to internal documents cited by Business Insider, Meta’s chief information officer Atish Banerjea highlighted the integration of AI as a core aspect of daily operations. Employees now utilize AI tools such as Devmate, built on Anthropic’s Claude, and Meta’s own Llama models, along with a suite of Google Workspace applications like Docs and Drive. The initiative aims to enhance productivity and impact, with the launch of an internal game “Level Up” to encourage AI usage. Employees who demonstrate “AI-driven impact” will be rewarded in performance reviews. This strategic focus reflects Meta’s commitment to leveraging AI to streamline workflows and foster innovation, positioning the company at the forefront of the evolving tech landscape.
