The Proactive Monitoring Tool (PMT), developed by CDAC Mumbai, enhances the detection of Child Sexual Exploitation Material (CSEAM) through advanced AI systems that also oversee dark web activities and scam networks. These AI advancements are applied in facial recognition, vehicle registration plate recognition, and counter-terrorism efforts. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has integrated AI tools within its I4C initiative to track cybercrime, phishing campaigns, and suspicious financial transactions on the dark web. Additionally, Surakshini, a MHA-run center, monitors crimes against women and children while facilitating the removal of inappropriate content. The Online Cyber Crime against Women and Children (OCWC) team addresses complaints related to CSEAM and Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII) via the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP). The SURAKSHINI dashboard enhances visibility into complaint statuses and FIR registrations, promoting better coordination among law enforcement. The Parliamentary Committee endorses these AI-driven initiatives for continued effectiveness.
