Microsoft has partnered with AI-driven platform Replit to introduce “vibe coding” for enterprise clients, enabling AI agents to write code from natural language prompts. This collaboration was confirmed by Replit’s CEO Amjad Masad on X (formerly Twitter), emphasizing a mutual goal of empowering users and organizations. Founded in 2016, Replit offers browser-native development environments that simplify coding by removing setup hurdles. Its AI tools can generate applications, including user interfaces and databases, making it a comprehensive solution for developers. Prominent companies like Google, Anthropic, and Coinbase utilize Replit’s platform. The partnership provides Replit access to Microsoft’s vast enterprise customer base and infrastructure, while Microsoft enhances its AI capabilities by integrating Replit’s innovative app development tools. This initiative follows Microsoft’s earlier collaboration with Coforge to enhance AI-driven developer productivity, training over 10,000 developers on GitHub Copilot to modernize legacy applications.
