Microsoft has launched a significant expansion of its education portfolio, introducing AI-enhanced teaching tools and professional development programs for educators within Microsoft 365. Central to this initiative is Microsoft Elevate for Educators, aimed at supporting over 20 million people in gaining AI skills in two years. This program provides K–12 educators with access to global communities, free professional development, and AI literacy credentials. Key features include the AI Skills Navigator for self-paced learning and courses targeting Special Education. Microsoft is also enhancing Microsoft 365 Copilot with tools like Teach, allowing educators to create lesson plans using AI, and the Study and Learn Agent for students aged 13 and older. Additionally, an academic version of Microsoft 365 Copilot will launch in December 2025, priced at $18 per user. Bundled offers and collaborations with various educational institutions emphasize Microsoft’s commitment to fostering personalized learning experiences and aiding career readiness.
