Montero Mining and Exploration Ltd (TSX-V:MON, OTC:MXTRF) has successfully completed extensive geophysical and geochemical surveys at its Elvira gold project in northern Chile. Utilizing advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning, the Toronto-based junior explorer aims to identify key drilling targets within the Maricunga Belt, a prominent gold mining region located about 170 kilometers from Copiapó. The exploration encompassed geological mapping, ground magnetic surveys over 205 line-kilometers, and high-resolution surface geochemical sampling. As the analysis continues, Montero is integrating geological data with AI-assisted modeling to refine potential drill sites. Despite promising historical results indicating the presence of gold, copper, zinc, and silver, the company emphasizes that further validation is necessary. Montero’s systematic approach aims to prioritize important areas for future exploration while preparing to release detailed technical reporting on findings and AI analyses as the review process concludes.
