The report offers a Judicial Validation Checklist, outlining acceptable AI functions in litigation, such as accurate data gathering and verifiable legal research. It emphasizes that all AI-generated outputs require human verification to ensure accuracy and maintain confidentiality, particularly concerning Personally Identifiable Information (PII). The industry faces a growing divide between technology “haves” and “have-nots,” as smaller firms struggle to keep pace with advancements and costs. To ensure equitable access to justice, the focus must be on developing specialized, secure, and economically accessible AI tools that enhance legal workflows while adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines.
