The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has collaborated with UEducate Global Private Limited to revolutionize education by digitizing NCERT textbooks into the innovative KATBOOK format. This new format incorporates multimedia elements like videos, 3D animations, and virtual labs, enhancing the learning experience for over 250 million students in India. It also features AI-powered tools for teachers, including translators and audiobooks, promoting effective teaching strategies. Importantly, these resources work offline, ensuring accessibility even for students in remote areas. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the Digital India Mission, the project will launch as a pilot in select states before a nationwide rollout in the next 18 months. The initiative aims to make education more inclusive, accessible, and technology-driven, ultimately empowering teachers and inspiring students. This partnership marks a significant step towards quality education for every child in India, regardless of their location.
