New Mexico State University’s College of Business is hosting a series of workshops and discussions on February 10, designed to help faculty and students effectively engage with artificial intelligence (AI) in education and the workplace. In collaboration with the Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, led by Todd McLees of humanskills.ai, these events will focus on critical human judgment, ethical decision-making, and the responsible use of AI. Activities include the morning workshop “Scaffolding into AI,” a panel on “Using AI Responsibly in Teaching and Learning,” and a keynote titled “Agency > Intelligence” exploring the importance of human agency amidst advancing AI technologies. With a significant percentage of young individuals using AI, the sessions aim to preserve human discernment in academic and professional practices. NMSU emphasizes integrating AI literacy across disciplines, fostering collaboration, and enhancing ethical understanding as essential skills in an AI-driven economy. All events are open to the NMSU community.
