OpenAI has partnered with premier Indian universities to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into various fields, impacting over 100,000 students and educators. Key institutions involved include IIT Delhi, IIM Ahmedabad, AIIMS New Delhi, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), UPES, and Pearl Academy. This initiative aims to enhance AI literacy, crucial for adapting to the evolving job landscape, where nearly 40% of core skills may shift by 2030 due to AI advancements.
At IIT Delhi, emphasis will be on engineering innovation via ChatGPT Edu tools, while IIM Ahmedabad aims to embed AI in strategy, marketing, and finance. AIIMS New Delhi will focus on improving medical training using AI tools. MAHE seeks to become an AI-enabled institution, expanding its digital capabilities. UPES and Pearl Academy will apply AI across diverse academic disciplines. OpenAI will additionally facilitate hackathons and workshops, bridging the gap between students and the startup ecosystem.
