The Financial Times reports that OpenAI has leased over 1 million square feet in San Francisco and intends to hire approximately 12 employees daily. However, a spokesperson from OpenAI challenged claims that businesses are choosing Anthropic over them at a three-to-one rate, emphasizing that large enterprises don’t rely on credit card data for purchasing decisions. CEO Fidji Simo is leading a strategic shift to prioritize business customers and is also developing a “super app” that integrates ChatGPT, Codex, and a browser, aiming to streamline productivity and enhance user experience.
