Since its India launch, OpenAI reported a doubling of paid subscribers. This strategic move places OpenAI in direct competition with Google, which recently introduced its AI Plus subscription in Indonesia. Google’s plan offers access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro chatbot and creative tools for image and video creation, as well as enhanced features for Google’s AI research assistant and integration into its suite of productivity tools.
