OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Pulse, an innovative tool for Pro subscribers, priced at $200 per month, aiming to enhance ChatGPT’s functionality from a chatbot to a personal assistant. Pulse operates overnight, analyzing chat history and user feedback to generate daily reports comprised of five to ten personalized cards with updates, reminders, and suggestions. It integrates with apps like Gmail and Google Calendar, allowing users to manage important emails and daily agendas. Following its predecessor, Tasks, Pulse automates processes without user prompts, positioning it as a proactive assistant. However, due to high computing demands, it is currently exclusive to Pro subscribers, with plans to expand accessibility to Plus subscribers once server capacity improves. The feature showcases personalized content including sports news, travel plans, and dietary suggestions, while deliberately avoiding endless scrolling seen in social media. Moving forward, OpenAI envisions Pulse evolving into more sophisticated AI agents capable of handling various tasks.
