OpenAI has launched the “OpenAI Grove,” a new program tailored for early-stage tech entrepreneurs focused on artificial intelligence. This initiative supports individuals at the pre-idea and pre-seed stages of their business. The Grove program offers a five-week mentorship, where participants gain insights from OpenAI’s technical leaders, access to cutting-edge tools, and in-person workshops at the San Francisco headquarters. The inaugural cohort, consisting of around 15 members, will run from October 20 to November 21, 2025, with applications open until September 24. Following the program, participants can collaborate further with OpenAI, which was recently valued at $500 billion. The increasing interest in AI startups is evident, with these firms capturing 71% of U.S. venture funding in 2025, totaling $104.3 billion raised in the first half alone. Other competitors like Google and Microsoft have also initiated AI accelerator programs, reflecting the burgeoning AI landscape.
