OpenAI has partnered with Greece to promote AI integration in education and support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through a signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) named “OpenAI for Greece.” The initiative, announced at the Hellenic Expo, aims to leverage a specialized version of ChatGPT, called ChatGPT Edu, for schools. The project, commencing in the next academic year, focuses on improving AI literacy among educators and students. A nationwide rollout will follow initial pilot efforts.
Additionally, the MoU introduces the Greek AI Accelerator Program, facilitating support and mentorship for AI startups in Greece. Successful participants will gain access to OpenAI technology and resources. This collaboration highlights Greece’s ongoing commitment to AI innovation, educational advancement, and ethical implementation, paving the way for enhanced AI adoption across Europe. The agreement aligns with global trends in AI development while ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
