Made predominantly using OpenAI tools, Critterz promises a faster production timeline of nine months and a budget below $30 million, significantly lower than traditional animations. Importantly, the script is human-written, featuring contributors from Paddington in Peru, and employs human artists and voice actors, steering clear of AI imitations. With a lean crew of just 30 people, this initiative underscores the ongoing debate within the entertainment industry about AI’s role, balancing innovation against concerns for job security among creatives.
