OpenAI has introduced its Frontier platform, aimed at helping enterprises create and manage AI agents. However, Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap noted that widespread adoption in core business processes remains a challenge. Speaking at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, he highlighted that while advanced AI tools are popular among individuals, integrating them into complex organizational systems proves difficult.
Notably, OpenAI experienced robust demand for its products, achieving over $20 billion in annualized revenue by the end of 2025, as reported by Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar. The company intends to measure Frontier’s impact based on business outcomes rather than software usage, and has collaborated with leading consultancies like Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey to enhance enterprise deployment.
India has become a significant growth market, boasting over 100 million weekly ChatGPT users, with plans for new offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru to further drive voice-enabled AI access and enterprise adoption.
