OpenAI recently launched Grove, a unique program designed to support early-stage technical talent in building startups. Unlike a traditional startup accelerator, Grove targets “pre-idea” individuals, connecting them with a vast network, including OpenAI researchers, to help develop their concepts in the AI sector. The five-week program will take place at OpenAI’s San Francisco headquarters, featuring in-person workshops, weekly office hours, and mentorship from company leaders. The inaugural cohort will include around 15 participants from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Attendees will gain hands-on access to new OpenAI tools ahead of public release. Following the program, participants can pursue funding opportunities or explore other paths related to OpenAI. Applications are open until September 24. Grove complements OpenAI’s existing initiatives, such as the Pioneers program, which collaborates with companies to implement AI solutions, and OpenAI for Startups, which provides founders with valuable resources and community support.
