Google has launched Personal Intelligence in AI Mode, enhancing the search experience for users by integrating data from Google Photos and Workspace apps like Gmail. This feature tailors search results to individual preferences, eliminating the need for constant input. For instance, when planning a trip, AI Mode uses hotel bookings from Gmail and precious memories from Google Photos to offer personalized recommendations, such as child-friendly museums or nostalgic ice cream parlors.
The AI recognizes your shopping habits, providing tailored product suggestions based on previous purchases and upcoming trips. For example, if you need a coat for a Chicago trip, it suggests options that match the weather and your style. Users can also engage with fun prompts, like imagining their life as a movie.
Privacy is prioritized, requiring opt-in for Personal Intelligence, which can be disabled anytime. The feature will be available via Search Labs in the US for Google AI Pro or Ultra users.
