Singapore-based startup Polybee has successfully secured a $4.3 million seed funding round led by Paspalis Capital and elev8 VC, aiming to enhance its innovative pollination and yield forecasting technology through a fleet of drones. These drones act as “physical AI agents” for both greenhouses and open fields, allowing for significant crop monitoring and optimization. Founded by Siddharth Jadhav in 2019, Polybee’s solution offers an impressive commercial advantage, showing improved yields and reduced costs for growers. The company aims to expand its coverage to over 4,000 acres by 2026. Using advanced AI, the drones collect actionable insights to optimize harvest timings and enhance pollination processes, ultimately resulting in up to 15% higher yields. Polybee operates on a subscription model, providing an end-to-end solution that includes both hardware and software without requiring upfront drone purchases. Future plans include deeper insights through multispectral imaging for crop stress and disease detection.
