President Droupadi Murmu praised the AI-based translation tool ‘Adi Vaani’ as a significant step towards transforming education and language in tribal areas. During a meeting with diverse tribal representatives at Rashtrapati Bhavan, she emphasized the importance of tribal communities being co-creators of India’s future, not just beneficiaries of development. This meeting concluded a series under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs’ ‘Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan’, aimed at fostering dialogue and cooperation for tribal empowerment. Since its launch, the initiative has mobilized 20 lakh participants across 1 lakh villages, establishing 1 lakh Adi Seva Kendras for service and grievance redressal. President Murmu highlighted that true empowerment stems from recognizing and respecting tribal rights, urging community members to engage actively in their development. The initiative aims to build an inclusive, equitable India while emphasizing the significance of the Forest Rights Act in promoting social justice and environmental protection.
