However, major changes are on the horizon. According to Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, Apple plans to deeply integrate the upcoming Gemini-backed Siri across its core apps. While initial ambitions included a “World Knowledge Answers” project to rival ChatGPT, these plans have been scaled back. Apple’s Safari browser overhaul, aimed at enhancing AI functionality, is also on hold. The strategy has shifted from standalone chatbots to a cohesive Siri experience embedded in apps like Safari, TV, Health, Music, and Podcasts. This significant integration could debut as soon as next month, with a full reveal expected at WWDC24.
