SailPoint has upgraded its identity security platform to enhance governance over AI agents, machine identities, and privileged access, responding to the surge in non-human accounts. The new “adaptive identity” framework shifts from manual reviews to continuous oversight, addressing challenges posed by service accounts and application credentials. Key enhancements include AI agent discovery for platforms like Microsoft 365 Copilot and Salesforce Agentforce, alongside full lifecycle management for machine accounts.
Privileged access remains a focus, with features for privilege discovery and classification aimed at mitigating risk across complex environments. Simplifying access requests is also an objective, thanks to the new Salepoint Harbor Pilot agent that streamlines workflows.
Further updates integrate deeper visibility into identity and access relationships, enhancing risk detection. Future governance improvements include an updated Access Certification engine and Separation of Duties controls, reflecting a move toward automated, intelligence-driven identity governance amidst evolving security challenges in cloud settings.
