Samsung and Google have unveiled the Galaxy XR headset, the first Android-powered mixed reality device featuring Google’s Gemini AI integration. This innovation, formerly known as Project Moohan, aims to simplify daily tasks through mixed reality experiences. Priced at $1,799, the Galaxy XR is significantly more affordable than Apple’s Vision Pro, which retails at $3,499, making it a strong competitor in the XR market.

The Galaxy XR features an ‘infinite screen’ powered by Google’s Android XR platform, allowing users to arrange apps seamlessly within their environment and interact using voice queries via Gemini AI. The headset boasts a lightweight design at 545 grams and is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processors and 4K Micro-OLED displays.

Continuing its AR vision, Samsung and Google are also developing AI-powered smart glasses with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, expected to launch at an estimated price of $800, further expanding accessible AR technology.
