Samsung is set to enhance its Health app with an innovative AI assistant called “Samsung Health Assistant.” This AI-powered coach, likely backed by Google’s Gemini technology, is designed to answer health and wellness inquiries and provide users with tips to log health-related data. However, it’s important to note that it cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions. This feature follows Samsung’s earlier introduction of the AI-powered Running Coach, which personalizes fitness plans based on user activity. The Health Assistant aims to offer similar guidance for various activities, potentially including swimming and cycling. Users will simply click the chat icon in the app to access this feature, which is expected to launch later this year. As AI health assistants gain popularity, competitors like Whoop and Oura are also developing similar features, and speculation surrounds Apple’s potential entry into this space with a 2026 rollout.
