Set to roll out in 2026 through SAP’s Delos Cloud, supported by Microsoft Azure, this initiative emphasizes data sovereignty, security, and compliance with local regulations. Targeting government agencies and research institutions, the program aims to integrate AI into existing workflows, automating processes like records management and data analytics while ensuring compliance with legal standards. SAP CEO Christian Klein highlighted the potential of applying AI for immense value creation, reinforcing Germany’s commitment to becoming a leader in AI technologies. This project aligns with Germany’s Federal High-Tech Agenda, aiming for a 10% GDP contribution from AI activities by 2030. SAP also plans to invest in expanding AI infrastructure based on demand, enhancing digital sovereignty in Germany.
