The Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation has partnered with Hong Kong-based MCP Holdings Limited through a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enhance overseas investment and support local companies in global market expansion. MCP plans to invest approximately 50 billion KRW (around USD 33 million) over the next five years in promising Seoul-based firms, particularly in innovative sectors. Recognized as one of Asia’s largest independent alternative asset managers, MCP specializes in deep tech investments, focusing on the Japanese and Asian markets. This collaboration aims to facilitate foreign direct investment (FDI) in emerging sectors and strengthen Seoul’s industrial ecosystem. The Seoul Investment Promotion Foundation will also streamline administrative processes and provide comprehensive support, fostering a conducive environment for foreign investment. Lee Ji-hyeong, Executive Director, emphasized the significance of this partnership for enhancing the global competitiveness of Seoul’s companies and attracting further international investment.
