Furthermore, works that incorporate LLMs during their writing process must disclose this upon nomination acceptance. Acknowledging the confusion caused by the original press release dated December 19, 2025, SFWA issued an apology on December 22, admitting that their wording was misleading and expressed a commitment to improving their guidelines.
