A developer experimented with GitHub by creating an AI-curated repository, designed to enhance their understanding of pull requests and collaboration. Their goal was to establish a repository maintainer that autonomously decides whether to merge or reject pull requests. The unique aspect of this project is that the repository’s guidelines are themselves contained within the repo, allowing for modifications through pull requests. This self-referential setup encourages community involvement and rapid shaping of the repository’s rules, as initial contributors can significantly influence its direction. The AI-Curator-9000 manages the repository, and the code behind it is open-sourced, inviting others to engage and contribute.
