SK Telecom (SKT) has partnered with Timetree, a leading Japanese schedule-sharing platform, to enhance its AI agent services. Signed in Tokyo on October 5th, this strategic alliance will see SKT invest 2.2 billion yen to penetrate the burgeoning Japanese AI market. Timetree, known for its innovative scheduling app with approximately 67 million users, is positioned as a “second LINE” in Japan. This collaboration aims to utilize SKT’s advanced ‘Agentic Workflow’ technology, allowing the AI agents to not only manage schedules but actively recommend activities based on user preferences. This evolution represents a significant step for both companies: SKT aims to establish a strong foothold in Japan before furthering its global reach, while Timetree seeks to expand by leveraging SKT’s expertise in AI.
