Sparkli, a Zurich-based startup, has announced a $5 million pre-seed funding round to launch its AI-driven educational product for children aged 5 to 12. Led by Founderful and supported by Arc Investors and Innosuisse, Sparkli is developing a “multimodal AI-native learning engine” that offers a dynamic alternative to traditional text-based AI. The app combines visuals, voice, gamification, and simulations to create engaging, interactive learning experiences. Currently testing the platform in partnership with a major private school group, Sparkli has observed children engaging in projects like running mini food cart businesses, fostering skills like debate and problem-solving. This age-sensitive design addresses the need for active exploration and creativity, contrasting with existing AI tools that cater to older students. Sparkli plans a private beta launch in January 2026, utilizing funds to scale its innovative educational engine and develop a personalized AI companion that evolves with each child’s interests.
