The CCDH’s findings indicate Grok became a dangerous platform for producing sexual abuse material, with public figures such as Selena Gomez and Kamala Harris targeted. Following widespread outrage, including condemnation from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, X restricted the feature on January 9 and later further limited its capabilities. CCDH’s CEO criticized the tech industry’s profit-driven incentives that prioritize engagement over safety.
