Workers want better AI tools, research says

A recent study by Zoom, conducted by Kantar, revealed that AI natives in the Asia-Pacific region express lower satisfaction levels (63%) with workplace AI tools compared to non-AI natives (80%). The survey, featuring 2,551 participants aged 18-45 across eight markets, highlighted the demand for personalized AI solutions. In Australia, 62% of AI natives found access to AI tools essential, yet many reported dissatisfaction, as 63% felt responses were generic. Additionally, 80% of AI natives desired AI complemented by human support, indicating that human agents better understood troubleshooting issues. Notably, 34% cited disjointed experiences as detrimental to their view of AI tools, while 59% advocated for integrated customer support options. Interestingly, AI usage in Australia trails behind other APAC countries, with only 39% utilizing AI for data analysis. For organizations to remain competitive, they must adapt to the heightened expectations of AI natives, ensuring tailored and effective AI applications in the workplace.
