Central to this growth is Google AI Mode, a conversational search feature that has attracted over 100 million monthly active users since its U.S. launch. This innovative mode enhances search experiences, allowing users to receive in-depth, chat-like responses. The integration of AI Overviews has also surged user engagement, increasing monthly users to 2 billion, up from 1.5 billion as of May 2025. Additionally, the Gemini app boasts 450 million active users, with substantial growth in content creation. Despite its impressive AI growth, which includes managing 980 trillion tokens monthly, investor concerns over increased capital expenditures led to a drop in stock prices. Pichai emphasized that Google AI Mode is pivotal in transforming search and productivity, projecting a bright future for AI-enhanced user experiences.
