In Singapore, a recent Notion survey reveals a significant disconnect between expectations and the reality of AI in the workplace, with 70% of white-collar workers expressing frustration over existing AI tools. Nearly 72% report that outputs necessitate extensive editing and fact-checking, highlighting a gap in functionality. Key frustrations include the generative nature of outputs (35%), tedious manual processes (28%), and ineffective responses (23%). Despite these issues, there’s an optimistic outlook, with 78% believing in AI’s long-term potential, although only one-third feel it facilitates creative work. To address these concerns, Notion has introduced AI Agents, designed to streamline multi-step workflows and reduce the “productivity tax” associated with traditional tools. Andrew McCarthy of Notion emphasizes that these agents aim to alleviate tedious tasks, allowing professionals to focus on strategy and creativity. Notion’s rapid growth in Singapore, surpassing one million users, underscores its commitment to enhancing workplace efficiency through innovative AI solutions.
