Lund-based startup TrackPaw Scientific has secured €2.3M in seed funding, co-led by FSG Fund II and Industrifonden, plus an additional €0.5M from existing investors. Established in 2022, TrackPaw creates AI-driven monitoring tools for preclinical research, focusing on tracking animal behavior and weight for consistent study data. This funding will help transition to a commercial launch in the Nordics by late 2026. By leveraging machine learning and sensor technology, TrackPaw aims to reduce the 90% failure rate in clinical development caused by subjective data. CEO Liza T. Albrektson emphasized the impact of their innovative solutions on data reliability and animal welfare. With the global preclinical research market expected to exceed €11 billion by 2030, TrackPaw is positioned to revolutionize the industry, enhancing pharmaceutical research quality and accelerating drug development.
