The collaboration focuses on three key areas: equipping Tata employees with Enterprise ChatGPT for improved productivity, creating industry-specific Agentic AI solutions, and launching joint go-to-market initiatives to facilitate global AI transformation.
TCS will utilize OpenAI’s Codex to optimize software engineering and is set to develop AI infrastructure with a starting capacity of 100MW, potentially scaling to 1GW, positioning India as a leading AI hub. The partnership also emphasizes social impact, with training initiatives aimed at empowering a million Indian youth in responsible AI use. Both Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, and N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, expressed excitement about leveraging India’s talent and ambition to shape the global AI landscape together.
