TDRI Presents Taiwan's Digital Design Advancements at Stanford and IDEO

On November 27, 2025, the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI) initiated its U.S. visit with an engaging session at Stanford University’s d.school. The focus was on leveraging design to accelerate public-sector transformation through notable case studies from Taiwan’s collaborations with local governments. Participants explored the intersection of design research, service design, and policy prototyping in enhancing social service delivery. TDRI introduced two innovative AI tools: the Vision Design Generator and the AI Design Strategy Generation Tool, which participants tested live for generating insights and strategic pathways. Discussions also covered design ethics and civic innovation, emphasizing the importance of human-centered design within Taiwan’s policy framework. Continuing in San Francisco, TDRI met with IDEO to showcase inclusive design projects and advanced AI methodologies. This collaboration highlighted design as a strategic governance capability and the need for more empathetic, reliable AI workflows, addressing emerging challenges within the realm of GenAI.
