TraceX Technologies, a pioneering agrifood and climate tech start-up, has unveiled an innovative agentic AI tool designed to streamline compliance with the EU’s Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) effective from December 2025. This regulation mandates that all products exported to the EU must be legally sourced and free from deforestation. Non-EU exporters and EU importers dealing with commodities like coffee, cocoa, and palm oil face significant compliance challenges, including traceability proofs and detailed audits. Many small and medium-sized enterprises struggle with high costs and complex supply chains.
TraceX’s AI tool automates tedious processes, reducing the time required for due diligence statement (DDS) preparation by up to 80%. Key features include auto-parsing of documents, AI-validated geolocation, risk assessment, and seamless integration with legacy systems. Founder Srivatsa Sreenivasarao highlighted how this solution enhances accuracy and significantly cuts compliance costs, addressing critical needs in a market projected to impact $1.3 billion in Indian exports.
