A few weeks ago, Google launched the Gemini AI assistant on WearOS, enhancing smartwatches from brands like Pixel, Samsung, Oppo, and OnePlus. This update transformed my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic into a versatile device, allowing me to access AI without reaching for my phone. Gemini streamlines tasks—from summarizing Gmail to setting reminders—which has notably decreased my smartphone usage. The compact design of the smartwatch combined with voice commands makes using Gemini natural, whether I’m biking, walking, or snacking.
With LTE capabilities, I can utilize Gemini even when my phone is away. The assistant excels in product comparisons and everyday tasks, but it does have limitations—like not being able to read notifications or make WhatsApp calls. Overall, Gemini has become an essential tool on my wrist, simplifying daily actions and reducing my reliance on a smartphone. Its features and convenience position it as a game-changer for WearOS users.
