By utilizing a private infrastructure, faculty can leverage Gemini for tasks such as summarizing literature, drafting grant proposals, and analyzing datasets, while ensuring the confidentiality of their work. UH is committed to incorporating AI into the academic experience across all disciplines, empowering students to develop ethical and strategic AI fluency. Faculty have discretion over AI use in teaching, supported by guidelines to clarify expectations. Additionally, NotebookLM serves as a source-grounded research tool, bolstering research integrity. With over 140 faculty involved in AI projects across various fields and more than 140 AI-related courses offered, UH is establishing itself as a leader in AI integration within academia.
