Entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia are harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance business operations, yet many seek practical guidance for implementation. A recent AI crash course by UNCTAD in Riyadh highlighted its integral role in decision-making and operational efficiency. Heba Kurdi, CEO of Mata Logistics, emphasized that AI is essential for entrepreneurs. The program, launched with Social Development Bank and Empretec Saudi Arabia, focuses on hands-on training, enabling participants to tackle real startup challenges, including marketing and sales, while learning AI applications. Felipe Matos, an AI expert, noted that entrepreneurs need structured guidance to transition from curiosity to actionable insights. Additionally, training emphasized data readiness for reliable AI tool development. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to establish the nation as a global AI and innovation hub. The courses address skills gaps, enabling small businesses to fully leverage AI’s potential for growth and sustainability.
